The Sacramento Weavers and Spinners Guild Saturday Group met at the Arcade library. We discussed plans for the Guild Open House next month in February. We also discussed locating a new meeting place to establish more regular meeting times.
During show and tell Alisa showed a clasped weft scarf she did.
And a bag made on rigid heddle with backstrap woven bands.
What a wonderful piece.
Another member showed off a twill plaid scarf.
Another member brought this hat that was knitted with handspun yarn plied with commercial yarn. So we get the sparkly from the commercial yarn.
Monica brought her white cloth that has a very subtle pattern that's hard to photograph.
Jim brought in a spinning wheel that was purchased in Australia 35 years ago. We're not sure who the manufacturer was.
Right side of display case.
Jim got some help from an expert on using his spinning wheel.
It was a good day!
See you at the Open House next month!
